ASCEND ("we", "us", "our") operates ascendpeptide.org - a free, research-grade peptide dosing and reconstitution calculator. Contact: [email protected]

2. Information We Collect

a) Information you provide

• Email address (if you create an account or sign in via magic link)
• Saved calculations (peptide name, dose, vial size, reconstitution volume)
• Certificate of Analysis submissions (peptide name, batch number, purity data, optional lab report)
• Vial expiry reminders (reconstituted date, peptide name)

b) Automatically collected

• Standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) via Cloudflare Pages
• Anonymous analytics (page views, session duration) - no personally identifiable data

c) What we do NOT collect

• We do not collect payment information (no paid features)
• We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing
• We do not use tracking pixels, ad networks, or behavioral profiling

3. How We Use Your Information

• Account features: Saved calculations and vial reminders are stored to your account and accessible only to you
• CoA Database: Submitted lab reports (if approved) are displayed publicly in the CoA database with your attributed batch data
• Email reminders: If you opt in to vial expiry reminders, we send transactional emails via Resend at your specified intervals
• Service improvement: Aggregated, anonymized usage data helps us improve calculator accuracy and add peptide presets

4. Data Storage & Security

User data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL, hosted in US-East region). All connections are encrypted via TLS 1.3. Row-level security policies ensure users can only access their own data.

The site is served via Cloudflare Pages with HSTS, CSP headers, and automatic DDoS protection.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

• Supabase auth token: Stored in localStorage to maintain your session
• Disclaimer acknowledgment: pc_disclaimer flag stored in localStorage
• Anonymous saves: pc_anon_saves - local calculations saved before account creation
• Favorites: pc_favs - your favorited peptides stored locally

We do not use third-party cookies or advertising cookies.

6. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of all data we hold about you
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Correction: Update your email or submitted data
• Portability: Export your saved calculations in JSON format (available in your account settings)
• Opt-out: Unsubscribe from email reminders at any time via the link in any reminder email

7. Third-Party Services

• Supabase - database and authentication
• Cloudflare - CDN, DNS, DDoS protection
• Resend - transactional email delivery

Each service operates under its own privacy policy. We do not share data beyond what is necessary for these services to function.

8. Research Disclaimer

ASCEND is a mathematical reference tool for research and educational purposes only. We do not provide medical advice, and no health data is collected or processed. Dosing calculations performed in the app are not stored on our servers unless you explicitly save them to your account.

9. CoA Database Use Restrictions

The ASCEND Certificate of Analysis (CoA) database is original compilation work protected under U.S. and international copyright law. Access is granted for personal, non-commercial research use only. The following are strictly prohibited:

• Automated scraping or crawling of the CoA database by any means, including scripts, bots, or API clients
• Bulk downloading or systematic extraction of database records
• Redistribution, resale, or republication of database contents in whole or in part on any platform or service
• Use of database contents to train, fine-tune, or augment any machine learning or AI model
• Commercial exploitation of records sourced from the ASCEND CoA database without prior written consent

The database contains proprietary fingerprint records. Unauthorized copying is detectable and will be pursued under applicable law. Violations may result in immediate account termination and legal action. To request a commercial data license, contact [email protected].

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be noted via an in-app notice. Continued use of ASCEND after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
